A Forensic Linguistic Study

This study discusses the hate speech delivered by Indonesian internet citizens towards badminton athletes on social media. aims to identify types of addressed two media platforms, Instagram and Twitter, investigate whether netizens violate law or not. The data are sourced from official accounts federation @badminton.ina (Instagram) @INABadminton (Twitter). were collected documentation technique then analyzed using contextual analysis. result shows that nine comments eight commenters contain content including insults, defamation, denigration, unpleasant action, provocation, incitement, hoax.
